Channel:1 Successfully Deploys mhip Feedback, Polling and Measurement for 13,000 Attendees at Fortune 100 Company’s
Global Sales Meeting. Wilton, CT, September 1, 2005—Channel:1 Corporation delivered the largest deployment of mhip™ handheld wireless devices at a Fortune 100 client’s recent global sales meeting to facilitate real-time attendee polling and direct audience feedback from over 13,000 attendees. mhip (memore handheld information portal), Channel:1’s mobile conference and event management tool, provides conference hosts the ability to establish a wireless communications and networking environment with their conference guests and exhibitors. At the client’s global sales meeting, attendees provided anonymous session and speaker feedback by completing surveys that were wirelessly delivered to their handheld devices. Upon submission of their answers, the data was transmitted back to Channel:1’s secured data portal for immediate analysis and reporting.
This annual global sales meeting has been held in San Francisco for the last three years, with an average audience of 13,000 sales team members. Rather than host separate sales meetings at different times of the year in different locations, the company hosts an annual sales meeting in one location over a three week period. During that time, four waves of attendees from various geographies arrive in San Francisco, including Japan, Asia Pacific, the European Union and U.S./Canada.
Using Channel:1’s mhip tool, the client was able to secure over 30,000 session feedback responses, representing a participation rate of nearly 86%. Having used paper surveys at past meetings, the client has realized a 300% increase in the quantity and quality of attendee responses by using mhip, affording them the flexibility to action audience feedback immediately so as to optimize the meeting’s overall value perception and ROI.
“A 3-week conference requires a fully coordinated effort with our client’s event planning teams. Our dedicated account team was committed to ensuring a streamlined method of deploying our mhip devices to not only maximize attendee usage, but to ensure that our client received the most feedback possible so they can effectively measure overall attendee response in real-time and effectively plan for 2006.” said Dane Risley, COO, Channel:1 Corporation.
